FarmScout Privacy Policy

FARM SCOUT LLC – PRIVACY POLICY

Effective Date: 05-10-2026

Last Updated: 07-22-2026

1. Overview

Farm Scout LLC ("FarmScout™," "we," "our," or "us") operates a consumer mobile discovery application and a web-based portal for producers, accessible at app.farmscoutapp.com. Consumer access to the mobile application may be offered free of charge or through a paid subscription, depending on the access mode available at the time.

Together, these services allow consumers to discover nearby farms, farm stands, farmers markets, nurseries, seafood markets, vineyards, orchards, apiaries, and other agricultural destinations throughout the United States, and allow producers to manage their listings and update inventory and events.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the mobile application, producer portal, and related websites, how we use that information, the third-party services involved, and the rights available to users.

2. Information We Collect

A. Account Information — Consumer Mobile App

The FarmScout™ mobile app does not require users to create an account and does not collect personal information such as name or email address from consumer users.

Subscription access is managed through Apple (iOS) or Google (Android). Farm Scout LLC receives only limited subscription status information (such as whether a subscription is active or expired) and does not receive or store payment card details.

Producer (Farmer) Portal

If you access the web-based producer portal at app.farmscoutapp.com to manage a farm listing, we collect:

- Name

- Email address

- Business or farm-related information

This information is used solely to authenticate accounts, manage listings, and communicate with producers.

A2. Subscription and Payment Information

FarmScout™ may offer paid consumer subscriptions processed through Apple In-App Purchase on iOS and, if an Android version is offered, Google Play Billing. FarmScout may also provide free, trial, promotional, or other access that does not require an active subscription.

Payment transactions are handled by Apple or Google. Farm Scout LLC does not receive, process, or store full payment card numbers, bank account information, Apple ID passwords, or Google account passwords.

Farm Scout LLC may receive limited purchase or subscription status information, such as whether a subscription is active, expired, cancelled, or eligible for restoration, as necessary to provide access to subscription features. Use of in-app purchases is also governed by the applicable Apple or Google terms.

B. Location Information — While Using the App Only

With your permission, FarmScout accesses your device's location only while you are actively using the app. Location is used to display nearby listings, calculate proximity, sort results, and provide location-based app functionality.

FarmScout does not collect location in the background, maintain a history of your movements, sell location data, or use precise location to track you across third-party apps or websites. You may deny or disable location access at any time through your device settings. If location access is unavailable, you may search using a town, ZIP code, region, or other location entered manually.

FarmScout may use your current location or a location you search to display FarmScout-sponsored listings, promotions, and events near that area. This is first-party advertising displayed within the FarmScout service.

FarmScout does not provide advertisers or Meta with your precise device location. Advertisers do not receive your identity, exact location, search history, or other personal information from FarmScout. General information concerning areas searched may be processed for FarmScout analytics as described in Sections 2F and 4.

C. Producer-Submitted Information

Producers may submit inventory lists, product descriptions, event information, and business contact information. FarmScout does not accept photo or logo uploads from producers or any third parties. No image or media files are accepted or stored. This information is publicly visible within the app.

D. Publicly Available Business Information

Farm Scout LLC compiles and displays business listing information gathered from publicly available sources and producer submissions. This may include business name, address, phone number, website, operating hours, product categories, seasonality, and general descriptive information. We display such information for directory and discovery purposes only.

Inclusion of a listing does not imply endorsement, partnership, certification, or affiliation with Farm Scout LLC. Farm Scout LLC does not independently verify, and does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or current status of, any publicly sourced listing information. Listings may be incomplete, outdated, or no longer reflect current business operations. We encourage users to confirm hours, products, pricing, and any other operational details directly with the business before traveling to or transacting with that business.

If you are an authorized representative of a listed business and would like to update, correct, or request removal of your listing, please contact privacy@farmscout.ai. We may require reasonable verification before processing changes. See our Terms of Service for additional information regarding listings, warranties, and limitation of liability.

E. Technical Information, Analytics Identifiers, and SDKs

FarmScout may collect or process limited technical information, including device type, operating system, app version, language settings, performance information, diagnostic information, and crash data.

The mobile application uses Firebase Analytics to help FarmScout understand app usage and improve performance and functionality. Firebase services may assign a pseudonymous identifier to a particular installation of the FarmScout application. This identifier relates to the app installation and is not the Apple advertising identifier, or IDFA.

FarmScout has configured Firebase Analytics so that:

- IDFA collection is disabled;

- FarmScout does not assign a consumer user ID;

- FarmScout does not add names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other directly identifying information to analytics events; and

- Analytics information is not used by FarmScout to identify consumer users by name.

The iOS application also includes the Meta Core SDK for privacy-preserving app-install attribution through Apple's SKAdNetwork or AdAttributionKit technologies. The current Meta implementation:

- Does not collect or access IDFA;

- Does not display an App Tracking Transparency permission prompt;

- Does not include Facebook Login;

- Does not send Meta App Events;

- Does not send post-install behavioral events to Meta; and

- Is limited to the app-install attribution functionality described in Section 2I.

FarmScout does not use these technologies to track users across third-party apps or websites.

The producer web portal at app.farmscoutapp.com may collect standard web session and security information, including browser type, IP address, device information, and login-session tokens. This information is used to authenticate producer accounts, maintain security, prevent misuse, diagnose problems, and operate the portal.

F. App Usage and Interaction Data

FarmScout may collect information about how users interact with the Service in order to operate, test, improve, and evaluate the platform.

This information may include actions such as:

- Performing a place or location search;

- Performing a product or event search;

- Viewing or selecting a search result;

- Viewing a farm, market, vineyard, nursery, seafood market, or other listing;

- Viewing inventory items or events;

- Selecting a geographic region;

- Tapping a directions button;

- Tapping a business phone number;

- The general areas users search; and

- The general destinations for which users request directions.

Consumer app usage information may be associated with a pseudonymous Firebase app-installation or analytics identifier. It is not associated by FarmScout with the consumer's name, email address, phone number, Apple ID, or other directly identifying account information because the consumer app does not require a FarmScout account.

Usage of the producer portal may be associated with the producer's portal account where necessary to provide account and listing-management functionality.

FarmScout may review usage information in individual event records or aggregate reports. FarmScout does not use consumer interaction data to create named consumer profiles or to identify individual consumer users outside the Service.

FarmScout uses this information to:

- Improve search results and app functionality;

- Diagnose performance and technical problems;

- Understand demand for products, events, and categories;

- Measure engagement with listings;

- Understand which geographic areas are being searched;

- Evaluate whether users are finding relevant results;

- Provide aggregated or non-identifying insights to producers concerning activity related to their listings; and

- Decide where first-party sponsored content may be useful within the Service.

FarmScout does not sell this information. FarmScout does not provide users' search terms, listing views, direction requests, phone taps, or precise location to Meta for targeted advertising or post-install behavioral tracking.

G. Communications and Producer-Provided Availability

If you contact us — including by text message to our business line, by email, or through social media (such as tagging or messaging FarmScout) — we may collect your name, phone number, email address, social media handle, and the contents of your message, including any product availability or event information you share. For unclaimed listings, we may publish business availability and event information observed from these communications or from public sources, labeled with the date observed ("Inventory Observed [date]"). We use contact information to operate the Service and respond to you; we do not sell it. We do not send unsolicited marketing texts. Producers may request correction or removal at privacy@farmscout.ai.

H. Sponsored Content Within FarmScout

FarmScout may display paid sponsored listings, promotions, and events within the Service ("Sponsored Content"). Sponsored Content is clearly identified as sponsored.

Sponsored Content may be selected based in part on proximity to your current or searched location, such as whether a sponsoring business is located within a relevant distance of that area. This selection is performed for the purpose of displaying relevant first-party content within FarmScout.

Advertisers pay FarmScout for placement. Advertisers do not receive your identity, precise location, search history, listing activity, device identifier, or personal information from FarmScout. FarmScout does not permit advertisers to track consumer activity across other apps or websites through Sponsored Content displayed within FarmScout.

I. Advertising and App-Install Attribution

FarmScout may advertise the FarmScout mobile application through third-party advertising platforms, including Facebook and Instagram services provided by Meta Platforms, Inc.

To measure whether an advertisement resulted in an installation of the FarmScout iOS application, FarmScout uses the Meta Core SDK together with Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork or AdAttributionKit attribution technologies.

The current implementation is limited to app-install attribution. FarmScout does not provide Meta with:

- Your name;

- Your email address or phone number;

- Your Apple ID;

- Payment card or banking information;

- Your precise location;

- Your FarmScout search history;

- The listings, inventory, or events you view;

- Directions or phone actions taken within FarmScout; or

- Post-install purchase, subscription, or other behavioral events.

FarmScout does not access IDFA and does not request App Tracking Transparency permission for this implementation. FarmScout may use aggregated advertising reports to understand how many installations may have resulted from a particular advertising campaign and to evaluate the general effectiveness of its advertising.

Apple and Meta may process attribution-related information under their respective terms and privacy policies.

3. How We Use Information

- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service;

Farm Scout LLC does not sell personal information.

FarmScout does not use precise location, search history, listing views, directions requests, phone taps, or other post-install app behavior for third-party targeted advertising or cross-app tracking.

Advertisers purchasing Sponsored Content within FarmScout do not receive consumer personal information. FarmScout may use privacy-preserving, aggregated app-install attribution information to evaluate advertisements for the FarmScout application, as described in Section 2I.

FarmScout may send limited service-related notifications or requests for optional feedback. Participation in feedback requests is voluntary.

4. Third-Party Services

FarmScout uses third-party services to provide specific functionality. These services may process limited information as necessary to provide their respective services and operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

Third-party services may include:

- Apple, for App Store distribution, in-app subscription processing, subscription status, and Apple's SKAdNetwork or AdAttributionKit attribution services;

- Google, for Google Maps, Google Play Billing if an Android version is offered, and related platform services;

- Firebase Analytics, a Google service, for app-usage analytics, pseudonymous app-installation identifiers, interaction events, and performance measurement;

- Meta Platforms, Inc., through the Meta Core SDK, for privacy-preserving app-install attribution as described in Section 2I;

- Apple Maps and Google Maps, for mapping, location display, and directions;

- GoDaddy, for website hosting, website operation, and website analytics or cookies; and

- Infrastructure, database, hosting, search, messaging, security, and performance providers used to operate the Service.

Our website may use cookies or similar technologies provided by GoDaddy or other website-service providers. Where applicable, you may accept or decline optional cookies through the cookie banner displayed on the website.

Certain infrastructure or search providers may process search terms, general location inputs, or related interaction information solely to provide search, hosting, security, analytics, or other Service functionality. FarmScout does not authorize these providers to use FarmScout consumer data for their own targeted advertising.

FarmScout is responsible for selecting and configuring the third-party technologies included in the Service, but each third-party provider separately controls its own systems and privacy practices.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion by emailing privacy@farmscout.ai. Inventory submitted by producers may remain visible unless removed or suppressed in accordance with our policies.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to access personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccuracies, and request deletion. To exercise your rights, email: privacy@farmscout.ai. We may verify identity before processing requests.

7. Children

Farm Scout is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
